It was the gold standard program for veterinary technicians showing their commitment to performing at the highest level. This was a membership that was renewed annually. Graduated from an AVMA-CVTEA or CVMA accredited program in veterinary technology/nursing

exam

Passed the VTNE

license

Maintain at least one current credential from an AAVSB Member Board regulating veterinary technicians for more than 1 year

license

Maintain credentials in good standing

knowledge

Complete 17 continuing education credits (12 medical, 5 non-medical, with 2 of the 5 being in controlled substances, record keeping, DEI, veterinary wellness, or communication skills) annually as required by the Veterinary Care Elite program
